    Raiders Offense vs Texans Defense
The Raiders offense average 373.3 total yards per game while the Texans defense only allowed 301.3 yards on average. That’s 72 yards that the Texans defense could prevent the Raiders offense from getting this game. This could be preventing field goal attempts in clutch situations.

    Texans Offense vs Raiders Defense
The Texans offense average 314.7 total yards per game while the Raiders defense on average allowed 375.1 total yards per game. Given these numbers, the Raiders defense will allow the Texans to get every yard they average per game.

    Advantage: Houston Texans

Offense vs Defense – Average Passing Yards Per Game

    Raiders Offense vs Texans Defense
The Raiders offense average 253.2 passing yards per game, the Texans defense on average allowed 201.6 per game. Raiders could be missing 51.6 passing yards this game. This could prevent a touchdown pass.

    Texans Offense vs Raiders Defense
The Texans offense average 198.5 passing a game and the Raiders defense allow 257.5 passing yards on average. Houston Texas offense will get every passing yard they average and could get even more since the Raiders defense give up so much passing yards.

    Advantage: Houston Texans

Offense vs Defense – Average Rushing Yards Per Game

    Raiders Offense vs Texans Defense
The Raiders offense average 120.1 rushing yards per game and the Texans defense allowed 99.7 rushing yards per game on average. Houston Texans could cut the Raiders short of 20.4 rushing yards.

    Texans Offense vs Raiders Defense
The Texans offense average 116.2 rushing yards per game while the Raiders defense allowed 117.6 rushing yards per game on average. Once again the Raiders would allow every yard the Texans normally get.

    Advantage: Houston Texans

    Raiders Offense vs Texans Defense
Raiders offense converts third down 38.1% of the time on average. Texans defense only allow third-down to be converted 38.5% of the time on average. The Raiders offense third down conversion average will be easy to maintain against the Texans defense since they allow as much as the Raiders average.

    Texans Offense vs Raiders Defense
The Texans offense average 37.3% third-down conversion rate. The Raiders allow 39.4% third-down conversion on average. While the Texans offense converts at 37% and the Raiders offense convert at 38%. Raiders convert 1% more on average per game.

    Advantage: Oakland Raiders

Offense vs Defense – Average Points Per Game

    Raiders Offense vs Texans Defense
26 points on average is what the Raiders offense produce per game, while 20.5 points are allowed by Texans defense on average per game. Houston Texans could prevent a touchdown or two field goals.

    Texans Offense vs Raiders Defense
Texans offense average 17.4 points per game, while the Raiders defense allows 24.1 points per game on average. The Raiders could give up an extra 6.7 points.

    Advantage: Oakland Raiders

Oakland Raiders vs Houston Texans Prediction

While the Raiders beat the Texans 27-20 in week 11 in Oakland. They have lost Derek Carr the starting QB to injury and now will be starting the rookie QB Connor Cook. Houston Texans have had some QB troubles, however, they will have Brock Osweiler to start the game against the Raiders.

If Derek Carr was starting this game I would completely be leaning towards the Oakland Raiders but since they are starting the rookie quarterback Connor Cook in this wild card game for his very first NFL football game. I can’t honestly say that the Raiders would win this game. I will have to go with the Houston Texans as their defense is much better and their quarterback Brock Osweiler has played this season with 2957 passing yards and 15 touchdowns.

    My Pick: Houston Texans -4
